Mangalore, Jan 27: A group of people interested in fostering art and culture will inaugurate Bimba, a charitable trust for art and culture, on Jan 30, Saturday at SDM Law College, at 5:15 p.m. 

Kasargod Chinna, one of the trustees, will preside over the programme. Dr. N Damodar Shetty, the eminent professor and playwright, will be the chief guest. MLA N Yogish Bhat and Chairman of KIIDC will inaugurate the programme. Mangala Nayak, the Dy director of Kannada and Culture Department, and Narendra L Nayak, artiste and education expert, will be the guests of honor. 

Ankush Nayak, the first prize winner of the national competition for instrumental music performances, will be felicitated. 

An entertainment programme will follow the formal function. Ocean Kids will present a performance, after which Ankush Nayak will present a sitar recital and Nagakiran Nayak will present a Hindustani vocal performance. The grand finale will be a jugalbandi with sitar and vocal music. 

The trustees of Bimba are Gauri and Suhas Rao of Ocean Kids Dance Academy, Jithendra V Patel, Alake Mangalore, Anuradha M Padiyar, Manmohan Padiyar, M Suresh Rao, Anitha Kini, Jagannath K, P V Paramesh, and Santhosh SHenoy.
