Anupama celebrates 10th anniversary

Mangalore, Jan 31: “Treat all women equally, irrespective of their communities. They are all equally concerned about the welfare of their families and society,” said Sandhya Pai, the editor of Taranga, a Kannada weekly. She was the chief guest of the decennial celebration of Anupama, a women’s magazine, organized at Town Hall on Jan 30, Saturday. 

Sandhya Pai also stressed the need for unity. Speaking about the great responsibilities shouldered by those in the media, she said that journalists must be fair in the discharge of their duties. “Good journalism plays a great role in the shaping of good society,” she said. 

She then released a decennial special volume. 

A P Malathi, the president of the Karavali Readers and Writers’ Association; Mary Prem D’Souza, the principal of St Agnes College; and Shanaz M, editor of Anupama were also present.
