Mangalore Today News Network

Mangaluru, Oct 22, 2016: As per reports, a data base of lawyers from across the state is now in operation. ’Legall’, the new smartphone app will end the search for an efficient lawyer across the state and it will help clients get better legal service. Udaya Prakash Muliya, formulator of the app and a senior advocate of Mangaluru, said that other than a data base of advocates, the app will also have a list of nearly 1,000 central and state acts, legal information and aid for a startup biz.

"We were getting requests from clients asking for lawyers in other locations and this forced us to think of a solution and evolve a method that makes the search easy as well as available on a smart phone. Our aim is to serve the public so that they get better legal services through an able law expert. In addition, the app has options for clients to write reviews and rate lawyers ," Udaya Prakash said.

The app will provide information regarding laws related to passport, visa and rules regarding international disputes. The team behind the app’s development also includes experts in immigration law. It will also have details regarding property laws that include draft deeds, contract, revenue and documentation service. The app will also have a separate section for trade mark, copyright and intellectual property rights. Lawyers will have separate login so that they have to register with their registration number and write about their specialization, he said.

"Advocates will enjoy two special features that is process outsourcing and lawyers diary. While process outsourcing will help lawyers to outsource their cases and prepare synopsis/notes of arguments with citations of higher courts, lawyers diary is a space for lawyers to store case data, postings and client information. All legal questions will be answered within 48 hours," he said. The app will be available in Android and IOS stores, he said adding that the soft launch will be held at the SDM law college in Mangaluru on October 22.

After about 20 days of trial and based on the feedback, the app will be formally launched. "The aim of this app is to bring all lawyers from across the state together on one platform," he said. Udaya Prakash, who deals with civil and criminal cases in the High Court
