Alleged thief who is said to have attempted to ‘run over’ SI arrested

Mangaluru, July 23, 2017: The Panambur police arrested two persons who had allegedly attempted to run over a police sub-inspector on July 19,  Wednesday.

SI Purandaragouda was in a team that was in Kasba Bengre to look for Chandu Harris, an accused in a motorcycle theft case. The police saw Harris in a car along with his three aides. They tried to stop the vehicle. Instead of stopping the car, Harris sped away after hitting SI  Purandaragouda’s hand. Harris and his aide Adil were arrested.
