Mangaluru, July 25,2015:  All College Students Union State Legal advisor Dinakar Shetty said elections will be held for all college students union at SDM Law College Auditorium in Mangaluru on August 8. The newly formed union will be inaugurated on the same day, presided over by Mangalore Bar Council President S P Chengappa.

Karavali Group of Colleges Director Ganesh S Rao will be the chief guest. The students will submit nominations on August 1 and 2.

Student Protest Aug 4  :  He also informed that to draw the attention of the government on the problems of the students, a protest meet will be held in front of the  DK DC’s office in Mangaluru on August 4 at 10.45 am.

Many students lose  attendance due to reasons of ill health. But, several colleges deny the students from granting the attendance, even after submitting medical certificates.

Memorandum submitted to the authorities concerned in this regard, have gone in vain, he added.  In order to oppose the negligent attitude of the colleges towards students, the union will hold the protest meet and will urge the government to give justice to students.

All College Students Union State Secretary Veekshith Bhandary, State General Secretary Shifal Raj, Dakshina Kannada district union President Deekshith Shetty and Working President Donald Noronha were present.
