Mangaluru :  According to reports, a film in three languages, Tulu, Kannada and Telugu, will be launched here on August 3.   Harikiran, director of the film, said that though the story would be the same, it would be narrated differently in the languages.

He went on to explain  there would be three different screenplays for the film. The title of the film in Tulu would be “Gayatri,” whereas it would be “Janaki” and “Mrigashira” in Kannada and Telugu respectively.  The film will be shot mostly in a hotel, hospital and college in the surroundings of Udupi. The budget of the film is estimated at Rs. 1 crore.

There will be 26 artistes in the film, most of them local artistes. The selection of the heroine for the film is likely in a couple of days.   The story of the film will revolve around the themes of love, rejection, revenge and superstition. There would be two fight sequences, two songs and 13 minutes of graphics in the film.

Lakshmivara Tirtha Swami of Shiroor Mutt was likely to give the “muhurta shot” on August 2. The shooting of the film would begin from August 3 and would go on for 30 days.  The entire film in all three languages would be shot in 100 days. The film was likely to be released in the month of December, Director  Harikiran said.
