13-year-old Boy Commits Suicide

Udhith Shetty (13), a student of class VII in Chara Navodaya Vidyalaya, committed suicide on Tuesday. He was the son of Umesh Shetty, a native of Gadekallu in Neelavara.

In his death note, he stated that he was finding the syllabus at Navodaya very difficult since he was a Kannada medium student. He was also not interested in going back to school after Dassara holidays; and he did not want to answer his English exam on Tuesday.

His father has requested the principal of the school to investigate this unnatural death. The school postponed the examinations as soon as news of the suicide spread.

A case has been registered at Hebri Police Station.
