Mangaluru, Aug 03, 2018:  The Kavoor Police arrested four persons allegedly involved in illegal transportation of 13 cows in the early hours of Thursday.

In a press release, the police said that they, on a tip-off, stopped a lorry bearing Kerala registration number in which the 13 cows were being transported in an inhuman way. The cows were being taken from Udupi to Kerala. The police arrested Nizamuddin,, driver of the lorry, and Radhakrishnan, who was accompanying him. The police arrested Subash Shetty and Satish Kumar, who were following the lorry in a car.

Articles recovered

The Mulky Police arrested two persons allegedly involved in nine cases of theft, including the one at a jewellery shop reported 20 days ago. The police gave the names of the accused as Sawad (24) and Jatin (21).

The police said that they have recovered from the accused 5 grams of gold, three silver chains, two silver bangles, eight mobile phones and a car battery.
