‘Mangalore Bloom’ set to be launched on June 2, Sunday

Mangaluru, May 31, 2019: Inspired by Swaccha Bharat Mission, a chartered accountant  aims on improving the city’s aesthetic appearance by planting flowering plants on road dividers.  Lokesh V Puthran, Founder Chairman of Girija Charitable Trust, will launch ‘Mangalore Bloom’  at Lady Hill Junction on June 2.  Ramakrishna Mutt, Mangaluru seer Ekagamyananda Swamiji will inaugurate the programme by lighting the lamp near Ladyhill Autorickshaw Park on June 2 at 7.30 am.

Puthran told media at Patrika Bhavan on May 30, Thursday that Girija Charitable had been organising many events, including distribution of books and scholarships to deserving students, for past 15 years. “Under the programme ‘Mangalore Bloom’, flower bearing saplings will be planted on the road dividers.”

Urwa Parish Priest Rev Stany Pereira, Mangalore South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath, Mangalore City Corporation Executive Engineer K N Linge Gowda, Senior Chartered Accountant S S Nayak, Sanathana Natyalaya Chairman Chandrashekhar Shetty, Mannagudda ward former corporator Jayanthi Achar and Boloor ward former corporator Latha K Salian will also be present.
