SP A S Rao suspends three police personnel

Mangalore, July 29: Three police personnel serving in Bantwal police station have been suspended for allegedly harassing and torturing a well known legal writer Shivram Shetty.
He was arrested by the police in connection with a suicide case of servant working at a farm house belonging to Costal Development Authority Chairman Nagaraj Shetty and was later released.
On Monday, July 26, Bantwala police have summoned Shivaram to the police station and beaten up ruthlessly using iron road. Shetty in a critical condition was admitted into a local hospital and later shifted to Intensive Care Unite.
After receiving complaint form his relatives, Dr A S Rao, Superintendent of Police has suspended three police officials immediately.
