AI to complete compensation disbursement in 3 months

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, July 28:  Air India (AI) said that it will complete the process of disbursing compensation to the families of the Mangalore plane crash of May 22 within a period of three months. Aravind Jadav, the CMD of Air India, informed reporters that the national carrier doesn’t want to drag out the process during a condolence meeting organized by the carrier in honor of those who died in the tragedy.

Mr. Jadav also said that the national carrier was insisting on the relatives producing all the required documents to ensure that they received the compensation they deserved. He said that it will be difficult to make any changes after finalizing the compensation amount, owing to which Air India was requesting the families to submit all the required documents while applying for compensation. He also said that the Angels of Air India were in constant touch with the families of the deceased and were helping them in all ways possible.

In response to a reporter’s query regarding jobs for the injured, Mr. Jadav said that AI was trying its best to provide jobs for them according to their qualification, adding that if AI hurries the process, they might not get the type of jobs they deserve.
