Kundapur, Aug 27, 2014: Earlier strong rumours of Superstar Rajinikanth ’s visit to Kollur were disappointing to his numerous fans. On August 25, though the temple management was unaware, Rajini arrived.
Fans got a surprise glimpse of the star at Kollur at a time they never expected it. Rajinikanth, superstar of Indian cinema with an unprecedented fan following, visited Goddess Mookambika Temple in Kollur August 25 morning. He performed poojas to the goddess and offered great devotions at the temple.
Superstar Rajinikanth has major roles in movies in several languages, including Kannada. Said to be a former bus conductor of Chennai he is a demi god of the masses now. His admired acting style, philanthropic nature, simple lifestyle and more. it is said his visit was to fulfill religious vow to Goddess Mookambika. Rajinikath was enthused with the display of natural scenery in this part of karnataka. Earlier, Rajini had visited this temple town 22 years ago it seems. He has achieved a lot including global fame, and innumerable national and state level awards for his performances. ’Linga’, a movie with Rajini in the lead, is being shot near Thirthahalli in Shimoga district.
Temple managing trustee, Krishnaprasad Adyantaya, administrative officer, L S Maruti, and superintendent, Krishnamurty, accorded a warm welcome to the superstar and honoured him during his visit to the temple.
