Forensic experts asked to give final report on Shiroor seer death case : ADGP Kamal Panth

Mangaluru, Aug 30, 2018 : ADGP Kamal Panth has said that  there were plans to make recruitments to the Police Department in  Mangaluru and  DK District on the lines of Bengaluru,  based on the Dharmaveer Committee report and in view of the increased workload on the personnel here.

Addressing press persons at the City Police Commissioner’s office  on August 30, Thursday, he said the Department would initiate suitable action with regard to the death of the Shiroor seer Sri Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji after comparing the post mortem report as well as the FSL report. The Forensic experts have been asked to submit a final report after analysing both the reports, he added.

The ADGP said the Department would sternly deal with the menace of drugs in the district.

Referring to the Jodupala tragedy, he  lauded the timely  rescue and relief works undertaken by the District Administration and the Police Department and said the personnel who rendered outstanding service would be suitably rewarded.

City Police Commissioner T R Suresh, Dakshina Kannada  SP Ravikanthegowda, DCP  Uma Prashanth, Udupi SP Lakshman Nimbargi were also present.
