Bantwal, Sep 11, 2018: During the Bharat Bundh called by the Congress on September 10, Monday to protest against fuel price hike, as many as three cases were registered in Bantwal Police Station limits regarding some untoward incidents.

A complaint has been lodged in Bantwal Town Police station with regard to the stoning of a KSRTC bus at Jakribettu by some  miscreants who arrived by a bike. The complaint filed by the bus conductor has estimated the loss due to the damage to the front glass of the bus, at Rs 30,000.

Bantwal MLA’s complaint : Bantwal MLA Ulipadiguttu Rajesh Naik has lodged a complaint at the Town Police Station  stating that his Toyoto Fortuner vehicle was stoned at Bolangady when he was heading  towards Kalladka from BC Road at 11 am on Monday.

In another complaint lodged at Vittal Police Station, Arun Kumar, a pick-up driver from Barimaru has alleged that he  was abused, attacked and his chain snatched by a group of men when  he was waiting for passengers at Maani Junction. The victim has identified the accused as Dayananda Poojary, Saleem and Jagannath Jain.  It is learnt, the accused  abused Arun for making business even on a bundh day.
