Zaibunnisa’s father demands justice; says his daughter was murdered

Mangaluru, Jan 30, 2018: Mohammad Ibrahim, father of 12 year old Zaibunnisa who was found dead under suspicious circumstances at  the  Navodaya Model Minorities Residential School at KR Pete in Mandya recently, has alleged that his daughter has been murdered. "We do not want compensation but justice" he said while addressing a press meet at Press Club under the aegis of DK District Committee of SSF.

 

Ibrahim alleged that his daughter has been complaining since three months that the physical instructor Ravikumar was harassing  her. "We had informed the warden who said he will look into the same." He said Zaibunnisa had telephoned  him the day  she died and had stated that  the physical instructor had hit her head against the wall.  He alleged that his daughter has  been murdered and then her body hanged  after her mother told her over telephone to  lodge a police complaint.

He wanted to know why Zaibunnisa was taken to the hospital in the scooter instead of an ambulance and demanded a thorough probe.

SSF District President KP Sirajuddin said a protest would be  staged on February 3 in front of the DC office seeking a CID investigation and also to demand  compensation  of Rs 25 lakhs to the family of Zaibunnisa.
