Youth trapped for opening fake FB account, trying to cheat girls

Moodbidri, Dec 5, 2014 : A youth from Moodbidri  who was allegedly trying to deceive girls by opening a fake Facebook account has been trapped by activists of a Hindu organisation and has been handed over to the police on December 4, Thursday.

The accused has been identified as Imtiyaz. It is said Imtiyaz who was an electrician by profession  had opened a fake FB account  with a profile picture of himself wearing  saffron shawl  and projecting himself as  Mahesh, an activist of a Hindu organisation and a  DJ operator. It has been gathered that he had even printed visiting cards and planned to hand over the same  to girls who fell into his trap.

Sources said a young woman who was being reportedly pestered by Imtiyaz had brought the matter  to the notice of an organisation whose members on enquiry realised that the man was playing some trick to deceive people. They cleverly managed to  convince him to come to a particular place where he was trapped and handed over to the police.

It has been gathered that he had once earlier too tried to cheat people in a similar fashion.  However, no police complaint was lodged then.
