Youth taken into custody girl accuses of rape

Vittal,July 29, 2014: According to the police, a PUC student has alleged that a youth had sexually assaulted her in a sleeper bus bound to Bangalore. The accused is said to be one Nithin (21), of Kepu village. It was said that the accused was familiar to the girl.  He had asked her to come to Puttur on July 24.

The girl had met him in Puttur. Later, the duo visited Kateel temple. She had called her parents in the evening to inform that she was in Kateel and will be returning home on the following day. Later, the youth took the girl to Bangalore.

The parents became suspicious and filed a complaint at Vittal police station. The police in turn filed a kidnap case against the youth on July 25. The police went to Bangalore and arrested the youth . The girl had alleged that she was sexually assaulted by him.
