Youth stabbed to death at Valencia

Mangalore, Sep 22, 2014:  A youth who was grievously injured in a stabbing incident at Valencia in the city on September 22, Monday, has succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The deceased has been identified as Durga Prasad (24), hailing from Mijar in Edapadavu. It is learnt, two bike bound assailants who had followed Durga Prasad had later stabbed him before escaping from the scene. The incident took place at around 3.30 pm.

Durga Prasad who was found lying in a  pool of blood was rushed to thehospital, but his life could not be saved.

A rivalry over a financial matter is suspected to be the cause of the murder.

Mangalore Police Commissioner R Hithendra has visited the hospital and is guiding the investigation into the case.
