Youth stabbed in Kalladka, tension up in Bantwal

Bantwal, Dec 27, 2017: Two men waylaid youth on a motorcycle and stabbed him in Kalladka near BC Road on Tuesday evening. The victim has been admitted to a private hospital and is said to be out of danger.

The victim has been identified as Keshava (33), one of the accused in the brutal murder of Karopadi gram panchayat vice-president Abdul Jaleel alias Jaleel Karopadi.

Miscreants who arrived in a bike stabbed Keshava and fled the spot. The incident took place near Panchavati Building at Kalladka in Bantwal Taluk, a communally sensitive place.

Shops and business establishments downed their shutters in the area. Senior police officers arrived at the spot with additional policemen to bring the situation under control.
