Youth should focus on a secure nation

Mangaluru, Sep 12, 2019: At least 65% of India’s population are made up of youth, they must focus and take responsibility towards creating a secure future for the nation, Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, president of Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Puttur, stated.

Speaking after inaugurating the conference on ‘Swacch Bharat Shreshth Bharat’, organised by the Ramakrishna Mutt in city  on September 11. Wednesday. The conference was a part of the valedictory of the programme marking the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address.

Kalladka said that cases of youngsters ending life following poor academic performance only reveals the insecurity among students. Youth should not try to escape from problems but face them boldly. They should also not lose their mental peace over trivial issues, he
advised.

“India is a secular country since the old ages. We provided shelter to Parsis and Israelis. Many stalwarts from the Parsi community have made significant contributions to India. They never demanded minority status. There is no intolerance in Hindu Dharma and we pray for universal welfare,” he insisted.

Ramakrishna Mutt Mangaluru president Swami Jithakamananda, in the keynote address, said that cleanliness of surroundings and mind is important as each inspires the other. Clean minds can help achieve the dream of a clean India, he stressed.

Ramakrishna Mutt, Hyderabad, pontiff Swami Buddhidananda was the chief guest. Former MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, magician Kudroli Ganesh and environmentalist Dinesh Holla were the special invitees.
