Youth must combat communalism by fighting for the poor: Kiran Gajanur

Mangaluru, Sep 17, 2017: At a time when  efforts are underway to make  violence the new normal,  the youth must  combat  communalism by  fighting  for the  food, security and rights of the oppressed, said Dr Kiran Gajanur from Kuvempu University of Shivamogga.

He was delivering the inaugural address at the 13th DK District level conference of the DYFI  held at the Gowri Lankesh Vedike at Shanthi Kiran, Nantur on September 17, Sunday.

Today development has turned out to be a false promise while ploys are  continuing to make the rich further rich, he further regretted.

DYFI State President Muneer Katipalla who also spoke said  the University should bring out a text book on Tulunad legends Koti Chennaya. DYFI would continue the fight against inequality which was taken up by Koti Chennaya, he added.

DYFI leaders Asha Bolar, Dayananda Shetty, Santosh Kumar Bajal, Manoj Vamanjoor,  SFI District President Nitin Kuttar and others were present.
