Youth accused of abducting PU girl, raping her in moving bus

Bantwal, July 28, 2014: In a shocking case, a young man from Punacha has been charged of abducting a teenage girl and then raping her in a KSRTC sleeper coach bus on way to Bangalore. A case has been registered against the youth named Nithin on the basis of a complaint lodged by the girl’s family.

It is learnt, the youth had abducted the girl while she was on way to her  college at Bulerikatte on July 24 and had taken her to Bangalore in a KSRTC bus when the girl was allegedly raped. The victim a first PUC student hailed from Pavalamoole village. Her father had later lodged a complaint of missing.

The police traced the girl at the Bangalore bus stand on July 25 morning and the girl has been brought back to Vittal. Search has been launched for the accused youth.
