Youth Congress seeks Sushma’s resignation over Lalith Modi issue

Udupi, June 19, 2015:  The Youth Congress unit of Udupi district has demanded the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj over the recent revelation that she had helped former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi  through a request to UK government. The party workers and leaders staged a protest in front of the Clock Tower on June 18, Thursday in support of their demand.

Party leader Janardhan Bhandarkar who  addressed the protestors alleged that there were close links  between Sushma Swaraj, her husband and Lalit Modi. He also  stated that the Modi government’s promise on good governance  has proved to be an empty promise.

Youth Congress leader Amrit Shenoy  also spoke  on the occasion.
