Youth Cong stages dharna demanding farm loan waiver from Centre

Mangaluru, July 6,2017: The DK District unit of the Youth Congress staged a protest in front of the State Bank of India office  here on July 6, Thursday demanding  the Union Government to waive farm loans.

Addressing the protestors, District  Youth Congress President Mithun Rai said though the State Congress Government has waived farm loans upto Rs 50,000 advanced by co-operative societies, the Central  Government has so far not thought about waiving loans of farmers. The Centre is only interested in protecting the interests of capitalist forces, he alleged.

J Saleem, President of Mangaluru South Block Congress, Meryl Rego, President of Block Youth Congress, Abdul, NSUI District Chief, Naveen D’Souza, Praveen Chandra Alva, Corporators and many others were present.
