Young woman ends life at apartment in Kadri

Mangaluru:, Oct 14, 2018: A young woman who was residing in a rented apartment at Kadri  has ended her life by hanging herself. The deceased has been identified as Ashwini Shetty (26).

 

Ashwini who was a law graduate was initially practising under an advocate in Mangaluru for some time and had later  secured job in a finance company. However, she opted out of that job too and had recently attended the interview for a job in a shipping company. However she had not joined duty there. She was reportedly staying in the rented apartment since one month.

Sources say she was having an affair with a youth without the knowledge of her family  which was  making arrangements for her wedding with another youth. It is said Ashwini was in touch with this man too. Her lover who came to know about this had reportedly threatened to commit suicide.

It is believed that Ashwini who was left confused might have taken the extreme step.

Kadri Police are investigating the case.
