Young mother with child found dead in pond

Puttur, July 11, 2016: According to police, it is reported that a married woman committed suicide with her child by jumping into a pool in Mundoor in Puttur taluk.

The deceased has been identified as Vedavathi (26), wife of Sathish Poojary and son Manish (2)  The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained. It is said that Sathish was married to Vedavathi three years ago.

Vedavathi, along with her husband and child, had been to attend nature’s call. Sathish went to toilet first and came back to his room to sleep. As Vedavathi and her son did not return, the family members started searching and found her mobile phone near the waterbody.

When they searched the waterbody, they found their bodies.
