Young doctor seriously injured in road mishap succumbs

Udupi, May 29, 2013 :  A young doctor who  was seriously injured in a road accident at Kundapur on May 21, Tuesday, has succumbed to his injuries at the KMC Hospital Manipal on May 26, Sunday.

Dr Chethan D Rai (23), son of  retired Vijaya Bank Manager M Dinaker Rai  hailing from Kedinje, was hit by a car when he was standing on the side of the Highway  to return to Udupi after visiting his family’s ancestral house at Ankadakate. Rai who had sustained head injuries, breathed his last on Sunday.

An alumnus of KMC Manipal, he was undergoing house surgeon training at his alma mater.
