It is to press for their demand that the government drop the project.  The rally up and down would cover about 300 km., according to Sahyadri Sanchaya, a registered body of green activists.

YettinaholeAt least 100 bikers have registered for the rally. An organiser said that more bikers are expected as the campaign through social media was on.

Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP, and Purushothama Chitrapura, Deputy Mayor, would flag off the rally from Mangala Stadium at 7.30 a.m. It is expected to reach the project site in Sakaleshpur taluk, Hassan district, by noon.

The bikers will reach Yettinahole via Maranahalli, Kadagara Halli, and Aluvalli. They will offer a puja at Yettinahole. Later, the rally will proceed to Hebbasale via Keri Hole, Heggadde and Sattigala.

The bikers will light earthen lamps at Hebbasale where huge pipes of the project have been stocked. The lamps will be lighted under the banner — Aaradirali Neeru (let water flow).

Members of motor bike clubs such as United Bikes, Team Fly Bikers, Rev Limiter, Zero Gravity, Mangaluru Bikers, Coastal Super Bikes, Bullet Club, Mangaluru and other organisations will participate, according to a release by the sanchaya. The BJP under the leadership of the MP had taken out a four-day padyatra to Yettinahole from October 10.  But, Hassan police took into custody the MP and others at Gundia on the borders with Hassan on October 13 evening and did not allow them to reach the project site.
