Bantwal, Apr 24, 2016:The newly appointed state BJP chief, former CM  B S Yeddyurappa on Apr 23, Saturday, at Mangaluru, exuded confidence of his party’s electoral prospects in the 2018 Assembly elections. The former chief minister said he will make all out efforts to strengthen the party in next two years in the run up to the polls and strive to win at least 150 seats in elections.

Interacting with media at MIA, Mangaluru International Airport on the way to Kalladka in Bantwal taluk to attend a religious function, Yeddyurappa said he will meet Amit Shah, national BJP president in Delhi on April 27 in connection with re-constituting the district units and other units of the party in Karnataka. Yeddyurappa said he will tour drought-hit districts following the Delhi visit. He did not indicate the possibility of the Siddaramaiah Govt collapsing.

The law and order situation in the state, Yeddyurappa said had deteriorated badly in Karnataka. Siddaramaiah led Congress government was unable to tackle woes of people, he said adding the administrative machinery has ground to a halt due to indifference.
