Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office on April 9, Saturday, Poojary said when Prime Minister Modi himself could not make India Congress-free during the past two years of his rule, it was impossible for Yeddyurappa to achieve it.

Poojary also suggested Yeddyurappa to concentrate more on strengthening his party instead of making such statements.

Describing the appointment of Yeddyurappa as the State BJP Chief as a s blessing to the Congress, Poojary said it cannot be forgotten that it was the corrupt administration of the erstwhile Yeddyurappa government that paved the way for the  Congress coming to power in the state.

He also congratulated  PM Modi and BJP Chief Amit Shah for appointing Yeddyurappa, who he said was a blessing to the Congress.

Pointing out at the several corruption cases pending against Yeddyurappa,  Poojary said  Yeddyurappa was the first ever chief minister of the state to land in jail. Such a leader becoming the State BJP Chief is indeed good for the Congress, Poojary said adding the party would definitely win even the 2018 elections.

On the formation of Anti-Corruption Bureau, Poojary urged the Chief Minister to withdraw the same and even referred to the High court ruling staying the operations of ACB.
