World Earth Day to be observed today

Mangaluru, April 22, 2019: Nitte Institute of Communication (NICO) will, in collaboration with Indian National Trust of Architectural and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), observe World Earth Day on INTACH premises in Ballalbagh on Monday.

 

There will be an exhibition of collected poems, prose, micro tales, photographs, cartoons and paintings from the public and students and faculties of Nitte Deemed to be University on the theme, Earth Today.

Various eco-friendly and herbal products made by the residents of Mangaluru will be displayed.

The students of NICO will stage a play on the plight of the Earth. Smitha Hegde, professor, Nitte University Centre for Science Education and Research, will deliver a keynote address on the occasion at 3 p.m., a release said.
