World Disabled Day observed in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Dec 3, 2017: World Disabled Day-20 was inaugurated at Town Hall here on December 2, Saturday by J R Lobo, MLA of Mangaluru South.

In his address, Lobo stressed the need to shower love and affection towards disabled children and help them join mainstream society. Stating that he was aware that special kids have been deprived of some facilities including mid-day meals in special schools, he assured to  bring the same to the notice of the government.

Mayor Kavitha Sanil, ZP Chief Meenakshi Shantigodu, ZP Vice President Kasturi Panja, Gandhinagar Lions Club President Ashok Moily and many others were present.

Several people who have been rendering invaluable services for the cause of the disabled were honoured on the occasion.
