Workshop on ’Patriotism’ held to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas

Mangaluru, July 26,2017:Though serving the army reflects one’s patriotic spirit we can display our patriotism by discharging our   duties in our respective fields with utmost sincerity, said  Vikram Dutta,   President of DK District Ex-Servicemen’s Association.

He was  speaking as a chief guest at an inter-school workshop on  Patriotism held at Lions Seva Mandir here on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The programme was jointly organised by Lions Club, Mangaluru, Centre for Integrated Learning, DK District Ex-Servicemen’s Association and Konkani Cultural Association.

Dutta further stated that  incorporating noble values in life is a must for students.

The programme  was earlier inaugurated by Lions District Cabinet Secretary Vasanth Kumar Shetty. Ex-servicemen Mahesh Nagesh Nayak,  N Surendra Shetty and Devadas N Pai were felicitated on the occasion.

Prof P L Dharma, Chairman of Department of Sociology of Mangalore University delivered the keynote address.

Centre for Integrated Learning Executive Director Sachitha Nandagopal,  Lions Club Mangalore President Venkatesh Baliga and others were present.
