Mangaluru, Jul 22, 2019 : “Educational institutions were compared to just factories, where students or the learners are raw materials to be fed into huge machines and teachers in those institutions are assembly line workers. And the finished products becomes marketable products”, opined Dr. Sukumar Gowda, the philosopher and Exponent of Education at the inaugural program of an workshop an Draft New Education Policy 2019, held at Mangalore University by College Development Council(CDC).
Further he elaborated how colonialism turned to imperialism where regimentation process is the main feature of the education system.
Gowrish Joshi, member of the committee for National Education Policy 2019 shared and elaborated the vision and objectives of the said policy.
Vice Chancellor, Mangalore University Prof P. S. Yadapadithaya stressed the need and dissemination of quality paradigms in the proposed policy.
The Director of College Development Council, Dr P. L. Dharma delivered key note address. The program was coppered by Dr. Dhananjay Kumble along with the vote of thanks.
