Woman wins lottery, cheated of Rs. 65,000

Mangaluru, July 8, 2015 :   According to reports,  a lady residing in  Mulky has lost Rs. 65,000 she paid a person who promised her a return of  Rs. 25 lakh in a lottery.

Harini H. Anchan gave a complaint on July 7 that she received a call from a person speaking in Hindi about a lottery she had won.

She was told to deposit Rs. 65,000 and given a bank account number.

She then  withdrew  Fixed Deposit accounts and deposited the amount on June 29 as told. There has been no response or contact since then. 

The police said they have sought details of the transaction from the bank.
