Woman trapped in a house due to mudslide near KPT, dies

Mangaluru, May 29, 2018 : In a shocking incident , a woman got trapped in the kitchen of a house due to mudslide following torrential rain in Udayanagar near KPT died on May 29, Tuesday.

 

 

 

The deceased  is identified as Mohini(61) wife of Kamalaksh  .

Sources said that Mohini had come to her brother’s house in the afternoon when the incident occured. Due to sudden mudslide in the kitchen area of the house, Mohini got trapped inside. Hearing her cry, local people rushed to rescsue her. Fire personnel rushed to the spot.The  task became difficult as there is constant rains but their effort to save Mohini was in vain. Her body was later retrieved from the debris and taken to Wenlock Hospital. She was declared dead.
