Woman injured as lorry rams against house near Thokkottu

Mangaluru, May 18, 2017: A woman was injured when a lorry rammed against a house at Sevanthigudde near Thokkottu on May 18, Wednesday. Other family members who stayed in the house were away at a neighbour’s house when the mishap took place.

 

The injured woman Lalitha (35) has been hospitalised.  Her  children Yogish, Deepika and mother Veeramma were lucky enough to escape. The tipper lorry had arrived to transport mud from  the place in view of the ground levelling work undertaken by a neighbour named Ashraf.

The mishap took place when the lorry was  moving on a slopy road.

A case has been registered against the lorry driver.
