Will retire from politics if BJP proves I am dishonest, declares Ramanatha Rai

Bantwal, May 20, 2018: Former minister B Ramanatha Rai has declared that he would retire from politics if the BJP which was questioning his honesty proves that he was not honest.

Rai was addressing a meeting of Panemangalore and Bantwal Block Congress workers at the Brahmashree Narayana Guru Mandir at BC Road on Saturday.

Rai said he has strived sincerely for the welfare of the people of the constituency and was satisfied with his works.  He also alleged that he had to face defeat due to the malicious propaganda by the BJP. He also claimed that there was no truth in the BJP allegations.

Rai further clarified that the Congress activists were not involved in any murder but alleged that five murder accused were loyalists of Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik and were also part of his election campaign.

DCC Chief Harish Kumar, Bantwal Block Congress President Mayilappa Salian and others were present.
