Wildlife Week Inaugurated at Pilikula

Pilikula Nisarga Dhama inaugurated Wildlife Week at Pilikula’s Dr. Shivaram Karanth Biological Park on October 2. On this occasion, quiz and drawing competitions were organized. 

The competitions were inaugurated by Managing Director of Cashew Development Corporation R. M. N. Sahai. He said that there was a great need to create awareness about wildlife conservation among the public, especially children. 

Executive Director of Pilikula Nisarga Dhama, J. R. Lobo, gave a brief overview of the development of the park. Deputy Commissioner of Mangalore, V. Ponnuraj, presided over the function. The chief guests of the function were forest department officials T. V. Mohandas and S. Shantappa.
