Wild elephant attack: Compensation to injured

Belthangady, Dec 02, 2023: A compensation of Rs 60,000 each will be paid by the Forest Department to the three people who were injured in a wild elephant attack while they were travelling in a car on the Kakkinje-Neriya Road in Belthangady on the night of November 27.

 
The occupants of the car on seeing the elephant had parked the car on the roadside. The elephant which came closer to the car had lifted the front portion of the car. The occupants of the car were injured in the incident.
