Speaking to the media on February 9, Tuesday, the Minister even strongly felt that given the current global prices, petrol could very well be sold at Rs 30 per litre.

He also questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi of what happened to his promise prior to the elections of bringing back black money and crediting  Rs 15 lakhs to the bank accounts of every Indian.

While showering praises at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the several welfare programmes  initiated by him,he  exuded confidence that the party would win in 80 per cent of ZP and Taluk Panchayat seats.

He said the party needs the guidance and co-operation of veterans like Janardhana Poojary, Oscar Fernandes and Veerappa Moily during the poll campaign as it were these leaders who played a major role in strengthening  the party in the region.
