Why BJP was silent on Vinayak Baliga murder case?, questions Ivan

Mangaluru Oct 21, 2016: The BJP which is protesting against RSS activist Rudresh murder case and has also started comparing Karnataka to Kerala or Bihar has however fallen silent  with regard to  the RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case in Mangaluru and Praveen Poojary  case in Udupi, alleged  Ivan D’Souza , Chief Whip of Legislative Council.

Addressing media persons  at his office at  MCC today October 21, Friday, Ivan D’Souza   said that the state government has taken serious note of RSS activist Rudresh murder case and measures will be taken to detain the accused as   early as possible.

He said that it is a challenge for the Police department as well and added  six teams have been formed to crack down this sensational murder case. So far nearly 35 suspects have been interrogated, he said.

Condemning the murder, Ivan said the case should not be politicised and  hoped that the culprits will be behind bars as soon as possible.

 He said the BJP was  mum with regard to continuing atrocities on Dalits and minorities  though it has been vehemently highlighting failures of Congress government. He accused the BJP of trying to create confusion and disturb peace and harmony in the case."BJP is  way forward in conducting provocative speeches, nearly 63 cases have been registered so far," he said.
