Bantwal, Apr 25, 2017: Two machetes, 2 two-wheelers and blood stained clothes reportedly belonging to the killers of Karopady Gram Panchayat Vice President Abdul Jameel, have been recovered by the police from amid bushes near Bayaru Mithanadka on April 24, Monday morning.
Earlier, it was suspected that the assailant had fled via Bayaru road after eliminating Jameel at his office on April 20. The suspicion is that they hid the weapons and bike and changed their blood stained clothes before escaping in some other vehicle.
Meanwhile, reports say as per the information of the police the assailants had used a new FZ and black colour Pulsar bike while those found at Mithanadka were old vehicles. Moreover the weapons did not have any blood stain and that one of the vehicle belonged to a resident of Kanyana and he had abandoned it as it had developed technical snags.
It is suspected that the tracing of the bikes, clothes and weapons at one spot, might be an attempt made by the assailants to mislead the investigation.
