Waste handling firm’s supervisor dies due to suspected Dengue

dengue feverMangaluru, July 21, 2019: Naveen Chandra Kadri (56) who was serving as supervisor in the  Antony Waste Handling Company in Mangaluru has died in a private hospital on Saturday night due to suspected Dengue.

He was admitted to hospital a week ago due to high fever. Medical tests later reportedly revealed that he was suffering from Dengue. However, he breathed his last  night after he failed to respond to treatment.

The disease had claimed the lives of Veena Nayak from Kadaba, Krish, an eight-year-old student from Kodialbail and Shraddha Shetty, a 13-year-old student from Gujjarakere.

As on Friday, the district has seen 404 positive cases, of which 253 were from Mangaluru.
