Voter awareness jatha – "Nanna Matha Nanna Dhwani" launched

Mangaluru, Apr 03, 2018: A vehicle jatha aimed at creating voter awareness- "Nanna Matha Nanna  Dhwani" was  launched on April 3, Tuesday  by the DK District SVEEP Committee. The jatha was flagged off by DK ZP CEO and SVEEP Officer Dr M R Ravi. The   publicity vehicle will play audio clippings of   cultural  celebrities of the district  highlighting the importance of exercising one’s franchise and also to encourage people to take part in the voting exercise.

MCC Commissioner Mohammad Nazeer and other officials were present.

The vehicle will traverse three Assembly constituencies in Mangaluru. More emphasis would be laid on  Mangaluru South constituency where there was a lower  voter turnout during the previous elections, said MR Ravi.
