Voter Awareness Programme held at Central Market

Mangalore, Mar 30, 2014 :  A public voter awareness programme was organised at the Central Market in the city on March 30, Sunday under the aegis of JCI Wing, Bellare. A street play “Namma Nade Boothinede” (Our Walk towards the Booth) was also staged to sensitize the public on the need to exercise their franchise.

Speaking as a chief guest, PB Harish Rai, President of  Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union  while referring to the  None of the Above (NOTA) option that will be available in the ballot machine, said  it would be  best if voters exercise their franchise by voting for an individual instead of opting for NOTA. He said   opting for NOTA is as good as not voting.

Aravind Rao Kedige, former JCI Zonal President said maximum number of voters must exercise their franchise to choose the best candidate.
