Vittal minor rape case: 2 accused arrested in Gujarat

 Bantwal, May 18, 2014:  A special police team  of the City Crime Branch has arrested the two absconding accused in the case of the rape of a minor girl of Vittal. The arrests were made at Okha in Gujarat. Those arrested are Bobbekeri Basheer and Radhukatte Bsheer.

Police are yet to arrest another accused in the case. The two were at large ever since the incident wherein they lured a 14 year old girl of Idkidu and took her in a car to Madikeri where they allegedly raped her for three days. The other accused Jabbar  had reportedly threatened the call of an acid attack if she did not heed to him.

The incident had also sparked protests to mount pressure on the cops to arrest the accused.
