Vittal : Thieves gang attack woman; rob jewels

Vittal, Dec 25, 2020:    In a broad daylight robbery reported from Kanthadka near Vittal on Friday, thieves who barged into a house in front of the Kanthadka mosque, gagged and tied down the lone woman in the house and escaped with  jewellery after assaulting her.

 

The theft occurred in the house of autorickshaw driver Rafique when he had been to the mosque for the Friday prayers along with his ten year old son. His wife Zainaba was all alone when  the thieves barged into the house. The incident came to light after Rafique returned home.

Though there are many houses nearby, the incident did not come to the notice of any of the neighbours.
