Mangaluru, Aug 9,2016 : The Second Additional District and Sessions Court here has on August 9, Tuesday rejected the bail application of Yuva Brigade Founder Naresh Shenoy, the prime accused in the sensational RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case.
It may be recalled here that the court had earlier even rejected an application by the police to conduct a narco analysis test on Shenoy as he refused to undergo the test.
All six accused in the murder case have been arrested. Of them Manjunath and Shailesh have been granted bail. The others behind bars are Vineeth Poojary, Nishith Devadiga and Shivaprasad.
RTI activist Vinayak Baliga was hacked to death near his house while he was on his way to the Venkatramana Temple early morning on March 21.
Baliga had taken on various authorities in Mangaluru through his RTI campaigns over violations of the law. He was also involved in a legal battle against alleged misappropriation of funds by the authorities of Venkatramana Temple at Carstreet in Mangaluru.
