Village Accountant of Sullia gets 4 years jail for bribery

Mangaluru, Mar 03, 2023: The Village Accountant of Sullia was sentenced  to four years of imprisonment and  was imposed a fine of Rs 70,000 for demanding bribe.  The judgement was passed by the Third Additional and Sessions Court.

 

The Village Accountant was caught red handed by ACB of Mangaluru in 2016 while he was receiving Rs 45000 as a bribe in advance from a Mandekolu resident Gopalakrishna for approving his Akrama-Sakrama application.
